Spotlight at Gallery 54, Gothenburg

Images from the newly demolished greenhouse at The Botanical Garden in Gothenburg. 

The accompanying text talked about what is left when everything inside is cleared out; the plants, the lights, the tools. Can the remaning structure tell us something about the work that was previously done here? Could it be that the work is brought into closer focus? Can we more distinct see the essence of the work that took place and furthermore, can a define structure like a greenhouse teach us something about what is means to work collectively? Could it serve as a place of learning?

Next to my work laid Annika Thörn Legzdins beautiful and hopeful book about another greenhouse in a different town. Legzdins writes about the greenhouse as a place of caring, of nurturing and recurrent practice of the common.
