In 1975, landed a white pelican on an island in the archipelago of Gothenburg. The bird was later taken to Slottsskogen where it had to spend its remaining days. More pelicans was obtained and the pond with pelicans became a cherished destination for park visitors. In 2010 however the two remaining pelicans where moved to Ebeltoft Zoo, Denmark. The work is based on this history and has also a potable and a fixed position, a memorial statue next to the pond and a small booklet, easy to fold up and transport.
